Electromechanical Equipment Installation
Instruments are sensors that allow us to obtain data such as temperature, pressure, flow from pipes, drums, etc. in industrial plants.
Measurement control devices are mounted on the civil and mechanical structures of the processes to which they are applied. Some instruments may be mounted on pipes and tanks, others on concrete hoppers and pools. Sometimes they are organized to be installed on equipment as part of a piece of equipment or separately from the equipment in the field. Each measurement control device needs a mounting detail according to the application practice. These details should be explained to the installers on a construction detail or as a top detail of a mechanical piping isometric.
How the instruments will be mechanically connected to the process piping or constructional structures or equipment is expressed in the "Instrument Mounting Details". All kinds of materials such as saport, fittings, tubing and special valves that may be required for instrument installation are listed with their quantities and types on these details and are drawn in an isometric drawing to guide the installers.
Some measuring and control elements (such as magnetic flowmeters, control valves, etc.) are installed as pipe continuation or tank accessories by pipe installers or mechanical installers according to pipe isometrics or tank manufacturing details, but Instrument Mechanical Installation specialists are still responsible for the correct installation of these instruments in the right place. Instrument installation details are an indispensable project module with all the installation material definitions for accurate measurement.
